While multiple reports suggest nothing has changed officially in the troubled relationship between Isaiah Wilson and the Tennessee Titans, his saying that he’s the one done with the team was enough to get Titans Twitter worked up.
On Monday night, Wilson tweeted that he was before deleting it a little later. Unfortunately for him, the internet and screenshots are a thing, so there was no cleaning up the evidence.
Unless a separation we don’t know about has already happened, it’s an odd statement considering it’s the Titans who have invested money and time in Wilson, only to see him run into countless issues that have turned his tenure into an exhausting, unproductive mess. If any one party should be mad, it’s the Titans.
When you include Wilson’s tweet from Monday night on top of everything else, including general manager Jon Robinson recently, there doesn’t seem to be any scenario in which this ends well.
Titans Twitter didn’t hold back when Wilson’s tweet came to light. Here’s a look at the reactions:
Isaiah Wilson announcing that he’s done with the is akin to this woman announcing she’s expecting a child.
— Luke Worsham (@luke_worsham)
So Isaiah Wilson making it sound like he’s the aggrieved party. Tweeted and deleted. .
— Paul Kuharsky (@PaulKuharskyNFL)
If Isaiah Wilson quits on the Titans, as he has alluded to in his tweet, it would be the equivalent of someone saying “you can’t fire me, I quit!” Which is great if you’re an employer bc he has a $2.62 mil cap hit and you can recoup $4.47 million of his signing bonus.
— Jared Stillman (@JaredStillman)
Just when you thought the Isaiah Wilson situation couldn't get dumbed up even more, he tweets out he's done with the Titans when he hasn't even been cut.
Then deletes it.
His agent just lost vacation time this summer dealing with this.
— Allan Bell (@AllanBell247)
Isaiah Wilson is making Kevin Dodd look like he’s worthy of the Titans ring of honor
— Titans Tube (@Titans_Tube_YT)
Isaiah Wilson deleted the tweet but don’t worry I called no take backs so his contract should terminated by morning guys.
— Two Tone Fanatics (@twotonefanatics)
Titans first round pick Isaiah Wilson Tweets he’s done with the team, then deletes it. Give that he’s only ever played four snaps for the team, Wilson is making a strong run at worst first round pick in NFL history:
— Clay Travis (@ClayTravis)
Panda’s girlfriend lasted more on his lap during Draft Night than Isaiah Wilson’s effective playing time as a Titan.

The drama with Tennessee Titans 2020 first-round pick, Isaiah Wilson, took yet another turn on Monday night after the Georgia product tweeted he was done with the team before deleting it.
It isn’t clear if a decision was made by the Titans behind the scenes to part ways with Wilson and we just haven’t heard about it yet, or if this was just a tweet out of frustration, but either way it’s not a good look and it seems the two sides are heading for an inevitable separation.
If the Titans cut him, which reportedly wasn’t in the plans…

After showing flashes of being an impact player during his rookie season in 2019, defensive lineman and former first-round pick Jeffery Simmons took that next step in 2020.
Simmons was a disruptive force upfront for the Titans, something that doesn’t always show up in the box score but is certainly visible to the naked eye. He also notched three sacks, 14 QB hits, five passes defensed and three fumble recoveries.
Further proving that he was a steal in the 2019 NFL draft when he was taken No. 19 overall, Simmons earned the highest grade among second-year defenders in 2020, beating out…
